7. Samuel² Chipman (John¹) was born April 15, 1661.

He married Sarah Cobb December 27, 1686 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA. Sarah was born March 10, 1663 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA. Sarah was the daughter of Henry Cobb and Sarah Hinckley. Sarah died January 8, 1742/43 at age 79. When Sarah was age 28 and Samuel Chipman was age 30 they became the parents of Jacob Chipman August 30, 1691 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA.

When Samuel was age 30 and Sarah Cobb was age 28 they became the parents of Jacob Chipman August 30, 1691 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA.

Samuel Chipman and Sarah Cobb had the following child:
