She received a B.S.N. from Ohio State University and a Masters of Science in psychiatric-mental health nursing from Boston University. She has completed her doctoral coursework in the School of Nursing at the Ohio State University. Harlene’s clinical interests include helping nurses support patients throughout the illness experience, complementary/integrative methods of healing, therapeutic communication, and psychiatric-liaison nursing and consulting.
