1. Ole Johansen¹ Fossen was born in Jostedal, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway January 18, 1860. Ole died February 22, 1938 at age 78.

He married Anna Moen August 23, 1880 in Norway. Anna was born September 19, 1857 in Norway. Anna died about 1950 at age unknown. When Anna was age 34 and Ole Johansen Fossen was age 32 they became the parents of Josephine Fossen April 22, 1892.

When Ole was age 32 and Anna Moen was age 34 they became the parents of Josephine Fossen April 22, 1892.

Ole Johansen Fossen and Anna Moen had the following child:

2 i. Josephine² Fossen was born April 22, 1892. Josephine died July 6, 1958 at age 66. She married Bismarck A. Potratz February 15, 1923 in Iowa. Bismarck was born March 12, 1888 in Sumner, IA. Bismarck was the son of Frederick William Gottlieb Potratz and Mathilda Louise Gersonde. Bismarck died November 4, 1957 in Iowa, at age 69. When Bismarck was age 35 and Josephine Fossen was age 31 they became the parents of Willis E. Potratz November 16, 1923. When Bismarck was age 37 and Josephine Fossen was age 33 they became the parents of Burnita L. Potratz June 8, 1925. When Bismarck was age 38 and Josephine Fossen was age 34 they became the parents of Marva L. Potratz February 24, 1927. When Bismarck was age 41 and Josephine Fossen was age 37 they became the parents of Orval A. Potratz December 24, 1929. (See Bismarck A. Potratz for the continuation of this line.)

When Josephine was age 31 and Bismarck A. Potratz was age 35 they became the parents of Willis E. Potratz November 16, 1923. When Josephine was age 33 and Bismarck A. Potratz was age 37 they became the parents of Burnita L. Potratz June 8, 1925. When Josephine was age 34 and Bismarck A. Potratz was age 38 they became the parents of Marva L. Potratz February 24, 1927. When Josephine was age 37 and Bismarck A. Potratz was age 41 they became the parents of Orval A. Potratz December 24, 1929.
