1. Ebenezer¹ Tisdale was born in Taunton, MA November 11, 1707. Ebenezer died August 30, 1803 in Lebanon, CT, at age 95.

He married Hope Bassett September 12, 1730 in Chilmark, MA. Hope was born July 26, 1708 in Chilmark, MA. Hope was the daughter of Nathaniel "Nathan" Bassett and Mary Huckins. Hope died 1761 in Lebanon, CT, at age 52. When Hope was age 25 and Ebenezer Tisdale was age 26 they became the parents of William Tisdale May 29, 1734 in Lebanon, CT.

When Ebenezer was age 26 and Hope Bassett was age 25 they became the parents of William Tisdale May 29, 1734 in Lebanon, CT.

Ebenezer Tisdale and Hope Bassett had the following child:
