He married Anna Geertje Schmid date unknown. When Anna was age unknown and Jacob Shook was age 30 they became the parents of George Adam Shook March 26, 1741 in Red Hook, NY. When Anna was age unknown and Jacob Shook was age 32 they became the parents of Eva Shook January 23, 1743 in Rhinebeck, NY.

Notes: Tradition says three Shook brothers came to America in the early 1700's from Holland. Different spellings include Schuck, Schoeck, Schug
