1. Frederick¹ Frelinghuysen was born 1788. Frederick died 1820 at age 32.

He married Jane Dumont date unknown. When Jane was age unknown and Frederick Frelinghuysen was age 26 they became the parents of Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen 1814.

When Frederick was age 26 and Jane Dumont was age unknown they became the parents of Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen 1814.

Frederick Frelinghuysen and Jane Dumont had the following child:

2 i. Gertrude Ann² Frelinghuysen was born 1814. Gertrude died 1886 at age 72. She married Dr. William T. Mercer July 7, 1835 in Somerset County, NJ. William was born 1812. William was the son of William Mercer and Elizabeth Vardill. William died 1886 at age 74. When William was age 24 and Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen was age 22 they became the parents of Charlotte F. Mercer 1836. When William was age 26 and Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen was age 24 they became the parents of Gertrude Elizabeth Mercer 1838. When William was age 28 and Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen was age 26 they became the parents of Frederick F. Mercer 1840. When William was age 31 and Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen was age 29 they became the parents of Theodore F. Mercer 1843. When William was age 33 and Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen was age 31 they became the parents of William Mercer 1845. When William was age 35 and Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen was age 33 they became the parents of Archibald Mercer 1847. When William was age 37 and Gertrude Ann Frelinghuysen was age 35 they became the parents of Dermont Mercer 1849. (See Dr. William T. Mercer for the continuation of this line.)

When Gertrude was age 22 and Dr. William T. Mercer was age 24 they became the parents of Charlotte F. Mercer 1836. When Gertrude was age 24 and Dr. William T. Mercer was age 26 they became the parents of Gertrude Elizabeth Mercer 1838. When Gertrude was age 26 and Dr. William T. Mercer was age 28 they became the parents of Frederick F. Mercer 1840. When Gertrude was age 29 and Dr. William T. Mercer was age 31 they became the parents of Theodore F. Mercer 1843. When Gertrude was age 31 and Dr. William T. Mercer was age 33 they became the parents of William Mercer 1845. When Gertrude was age 33 and Dr. William T. Mercer was age 35 they became the parents of Archibald Mercer 1847. When Gertrude was age 35 and Dr. William T. Mercer was age 37 they became the parents of Dermont Mercer 1849.
