2. David W.² King (David Walton¹) was born in Port Neches, TX January 28, 1923. David died December 8, 2004 in Fort Worth, TX, at age 81.

He married Dorthy Ann Hilbert date unknown. Dorthy was born June 25, 1929 in Brenham, TX. Dorthy was the daughter of Louis August Hilbert and Carmen Ersel Shamblyn. Dorthy died March 31, 1979 in Fort Worth, TX, at age 49. When Dorthy was age unknown and David W. King was age unknown they became the parents of David Louis King date unknown in Fort Worth, TX. When Dorthy was age 20 and David W. King was age 26 they became the parents of Dorian King September 20, 1949 in Beaumont, TX.

When David was age unknown and Dorthy Ann Hilbert was age unknown they became the parents of David Louis King date unknown in Fort Worth, TX. When David was age 26 and Dorthy Ann Hilbert was age 20 they became the parents of Dorian King September 20, 1949 in Beaumont, TX. David King was born in the big thicket of Texas to parents who moved from Lousiana. He grew up in the Depression and learned to ride, shoot and survive in the woods and bayous.

He learned hard work as a young man and after many hard jobs he went to work in the oil fields as a roughneck. He served in the US Marines in WWII earning the Silver Star and two Purple Hearts for wounds he received in Peleliu and Okinawa. He returned to complete an engineering degree at the University of Texas. He married Dorthy Ann Hilbert and started a sucessful career as an engineer and later as the CEO of his own company.

After retirement, he continued to design oil well tools at his home where he enjoyed entertaining guests playing on his grand piano.

David was a true patriot, a genius, and a great father.

David W. King and Dorthy Ann Hilbert had the following children:
