He married Dorthy Green January 9, 1938 in Detroit, MI. Dorthy was born March 10, 1918 in Dorbyan. Dorthy is the daughter of Ben Green and Chia Garson. When Dorthy was age 21 and Herman Band was age 29 they became the parents of Harriet Band September 19, 1939 in Detroit, MI. When Dorthy was age 23 and Herman Band was age 31 they became the parents of Judith Band August 20, 1941 in Detroit, MI. When Dorthy was age 29 and Herman Band was age 37 they became the parents of Jeffrey Band February 24, 1948 in Detroit, MI. When Dorthy was age 33 and Herman Band was age 41 they became the parents of Bunny Band November 3, 1951 in Detroit, MI.

When Herman was age 29 and Dorthy Green was age 21 they became the parents of Harriet Band September 19, 1939 in Detroit, MI. When Herman was age 31 and Dorthy Green was age 23 they became the parents of Judith Band August 20, 1941 in Detroit, MI. When Herman was age 37 and Dorthy Green was age 29 they became the parents of Jeffrey Band February 24, 1948 in Detroit, MI. When Herman was age 41 and Dorthy Green was age 33 they became the parents of Bunny Band November 3, 1951 in Detroit, MI.
