6. Samuel Howard⁶ Fay (Samuel Prescott Phillips⁵, Jonathan⁴, Jonathan³, John², John¹) was born in Cambridge, MA July 21, 1804. Samuel died August 16, 1847 in Brooklyn, NY, at age 43.

He married Susan Shellman July 5, 1825 in Savannah, GA. Susan was born February 20, 1808 in Savannah, GA. Susan was the daughter of John Shellman Jr. and Clarissa Montfort. Susan died January 12, 1887 at age 78. When Susan was age 21 and Samuel Howard Fay was age 25 they became the parents of Harriet Eleanor Fay October 29, 1829 in Savannah, GA.

When Samuel was age 25 and Susan Shellman was age 21 they became the parents of Harriet Eleanor Fay October 29, 1829 in Savannah, GA.

Samuel Howard Fay and Susan Shellman had the following child:

7 i. Harriet Eleanor⁷ Fay was born in Savannah, GA October 29, 1829. Harriet died February 27, 1924 in Boston, Suffolk County, MA, at age 94. She married James Smith Bush February 24, 1859 in New York, Manhattan, NY. James was born June 15, 1825 in Rochester, NY. James was the son of Obadiah Newcomb Bush and Harriet Smith. James died November 11, 1889 in Ithaca, NY, at age 64. When James was age 38 and Harriet Eleanor Fay was age 33 they became the parents of Samuel Prescott Bush October 4, 1863 in Brick Church, NJ.
