He married Sarah Leah Zlotchenko about 1885 in Uman-Kiev gobernia, Russia. Sarah was born September 19, 1867 in Uman-Kiev gobernia, Russia. Sarah was the daughter of Morris Zlotchenko and Bella Dinah Headleman. Sarah died May 5, 1930 in Detroit, MI, at age 62. When Sarah was age 19 and Joel Kapetansky was age 21 they became the parents of Louis Joel Kapetansky May 6, 1887 in Uman-Kiev gobernia, Russia. When Sarah was age 21 and Joel Kapetansky was age 23 they became the parents of Max Joel (Kay) Kapetansky September 24, 1888 in Uman-Kiev gobernia, Russia. When Sarah was age 22 and Joel Kapetansky was age 24 they became the parents of Herman Joel Kapetansky February 20, 1890 in Uman-Kiev gobernia, Russia. When Sarah was age 24 and Joel Kapetansky was age 26 they became the parents of Maurice Yale (Kapetan) Kapetansky September 25, 1891 in Uman-Kiev gobernia, Russia. When Sarah was age 27 and Joel Kapetansky was age 29 they became the parents of Katherine Kapetansky January 3, 1895 in Philadelphia, PA. When Sarah was age 29 and Joel Kapetansky was age 31 they became the parents of Benjamin Yale Kapetansky (Kapeton) March 15, 1897 in Uman-Kiev gobernia, Russia. Mac was born February 13, 1900 in Romania. Mac died December, 1952 in Detroit, MI, at age 52. When Mac was age 21 and Katherine Kapetansky was age 26 they became the parents of Albert Kalman March 16, 1921 in Detroit, MI. When Mac was age 22 and Katherine Kapetansky was age 27 they became the parents of Evelyn Kalman May 31, 1922 in Detroit, MI. When Mac was age 24 and Katherine Kapetansky was age 30 they became the parents of Richard Kalman January 24, 1925 in Detroit, MI. (See Mac Kalman for the continuation of this line.)

When Katherine was age 26 and Mac Kalman was age 21 they became the parents of Albert Kalman March 16, 1921 in Detroit, MI. When Katherine was age 30 and Mac Kalman was age 24 they became the parents of Richard Kalman January 24, 1925 in Detroit, MI.

George was born October 31, 1900. George died March 28, 1988 in Detroit, MI, at age 87. When George was age 40 and Clara Lucille Kapetansky was age 37 they became the parents of Joel Kapetansky Leib January 3, 1941 in Detroit, MI. When George was age 42 and Clara Lucille Kapetansky was age 39 they became the parents of Maxwell Lionel Leib May 28, 1943 in Detroit, MI.
