1. James Hutchenson¹ Wear was born in Otterville, MO September 30, 1838. James died September 14, 1893 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO, at age 54.

He married Nancy Eliza Holliday December 4, 1866 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO. Nancy was born September 17, 1847 in Hannibal, MO. Nancy died February 25, 1942 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO, at age 94. When Nancy was age 20 and James Hutchenson Wear was age 29 they became the parents of John H. Wear September 1868 in Missouri. When Nancy was age 22 and James Hutchenson Wear was age 31 they became the parents of Mildred Wear August 1870 in Missouri. When Nancy was age 27 and James Hutchenson Wear was age 35 they became the parents of Lucretia "Loulie" Wear September 17, 1874 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO. When Nancy was age 29 and James Hutchenson Wear was age 38 they became the parents of Joseph W. Wear November 1876 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO. When Nancy was age 31 and James Hutchenson Wear was age 40 they became the parents of James Hutchenson Wear Jr. October 4, 1878 in Missouri. When Nancy was age 32 and James Hutchenson Wear was age 41 they became the parents of Arthur Y. Wear February 1880 in Missouri.

When James was age 29 and Nancy Eliza Holliday was age 20 they became the parents of John H. Wear September 1868 in Missouri. When James was age 31 and Nancy Eliza Holliday was age 22 they became the parents of Mildred Wear August 1870 in Missouri. When James was age 35 and Nancy Eliza Holliday was age 27 they became the parents of Lucretia "Loulie" Wear September 17, 1874 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO. When James was age 38 and Nancy Eliza Holliday was age 29 they became the parents of Joseph W. Wear November 1876 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO. When James was age 40 and Nancy Eliza Holliday was age 31 they became the parents of James Hutchenson Wear Jr. October 4, 1878 in Missouri. When James was age 41 and Nancy Eliza Holliday was age 32 they became the parents of Arthur Y. Wear February 1880 in Missouri.

James Hutchenson Wear and Nancy Eliza Holliday had the following children:

2 i. John H.² Wear was born in Missouri September 1868. He married Susan Leigh Slattery February 14, 1903 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO.

3 ii. Mildred Wear was born in Missouri August 1870. She married Max Kotany June 5, 1895 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO. Max was born December 1853 in Hungary.

4 iii. Lucretia "Loulie" Wear was born in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO September 17, 1874. Lucretia died August 28, 1961 in Biddeford, ME, at age 86. She married George Herbert Walker January 11, 1899 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO. George was born June 11, 1875 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO. George was the son of David Davis Walker and Martha Adela Beaky. George died June 24, 1953 in New York, NY, at age 78. When George was age 24 and Lucretia "Loulie" Wear was age 25 they became the parents of Nancy Walker October 1899 in Missouri. When George was age 26 and Lucretia "Loulie" Wear was age 26 they became the parents of Dorothy Walker July 1, 1901 in Walker's Point, York County, ME. When Lucretia was age 25 and George Herbert Walker was age 24 they became the parents of Nancy Walker October 1899 in Missouri. When Lucretia was age 26 and George Herbert Walker was age 26 they became the parents of Dorothy Walker July 1, 1901 in Walker's Point, York County, ME.

+ 5 iv. Joseph W. Wear was born November 1876.

6 v. James Hutchenson Wear Jr. was born in Missouri October 4, 1878. James died July 1964 at age 85. He married Ellen D. Filley November 10, 1909 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO.

7 vi. Arthur Y. Wear was born in Missouri February 1880. Yale baseball team: 1902.
