8. Richard⁴ English (David³, Richard², John¹) was born in Essex, England June 6, 1690. Richard died 1748 in Lebanon, CT, at age 58.

He married Mary Hinksman February 17, 1711. Mary was born 1688 in Sciuate, MA. Mary was the daughter of John Hinksman. Mary died 1748 in Lebanon, CT, at age 60. Mary immigrated to Newport, RI May 1710. When Mary was age 30 and Richard English was age 28 they became the parents of John Hinksman English 1718 in Lebanon, CT.
