Dick -- I've been looking for a picture of Robert Winfield and Mary Jane Tripple for a wedding photo to post on your web site, and this is the closest I can come. It was during WWII and Robert couldn't get leave, so Mary had to go to Washington, D.C., where he was stationed. Her mother accompanied her. This photo was taken in April, 1944, shortly after they got married. It's not the clearest photo, but at least it's about the time of the wedding. That is probably the suit my mother got married in and Dad was married in his uniform.
