Hyman was born March 19, 1870 in Forsythe, GA. Hyman was the son of Isaac Moses Pearlstine and Mary Hyams. Hyman died January 30, 1934 in Charleston, SC, at age 63. When Hyman was age 27 and Esther "Edie" Strauss was age 23 they became the parents of Edwin Strauss Pearlstine March 7, 1898 in Charleston, SC. When Hyman was age 29 and Esther "Edie" Strauss was age 24 they became the parents of Milton Alfred Pearlstine July 15, 1899 in Mayesville, SC.
