1. Philip¹ Lewenthal was born in Posen, Poland 1854. Philip died December 10, 1910 in Darlington, SC, at age 56.

He married Sarah "Sally" Weinberg July 20, 1881 in Charleston, SC. Sarah was born about 1856 in Charleston, SC. Sarah was the daughter of Bendix "Benedict" Abraham Weinberg and Fannie Reis. Sarah died 1904 at age 48. When Sarah was age 25 and Philip Lewenthal was age 27 they became the parents of Frances "Fanny" Lewenthal May 31, 1882 in Darlington, SC. When Sarah was age 28 and Philip Lewenthal was age 30 they became the parents of Dora Lewenthal July 16, 1884 in Darlington, SC. When Sarah was age 29 and Philip Lewenthal was age 31 they became the parents of Isaac Myer "Link" Lewenthal 1885. When Sarah was age 45 and Philip Lewenthal was age 47 they became the parents of Benedict Lewenthal April 1, 1902 in Georgetown, SC.

When Philip was age 27 and Sarah "Sally" Weinberg was age 25 they became the parents of Frances "Fanny" Lewenthal May 31, 1882 in Darlington, SC. When Philip was age 30 and Sarah "Sally" Weinberg was age 28 they became the parents of Dora Lewenthal July 16, 1884 in Darlington, SC. When Philip was age 31 and Sarah "Sally" Weinberg was age 29 they became the parents of Isaac Myer "Link" Lewenthal 1885. When Philip was age 47 and Sarah "Sally" Weinberg was age 45 they became the parents of Benedict Lewenthal April 1, 1902 in Georgetown, SC.

Philip Lewenthal and Sarah "Sally" Weinberg had the following children:

2 i. Frances "Fanny"² Lewenthal was born in Darlington, SC May 31, 1882. Frances died December 25, 1969 in Georgetown, SC, at age 87. She married Albert Max Schneider December 31, 1910. Albert was born July 4, 1886. Albert died December 11, 1967 in Georgetown, SC, at age 81. When Albert was age 25 and Frances "Fanny" Lewenthal was age 29 they became the parents of Philip Lewenthal Schneider January 1912 in Georgetown, SC. When Albert was age 27 and Frances "Fanny" Lewenthal was age 31 they became the parents of Harold Schneider July 1913 in Georgetown, SC. When Albert was age 29 and Frances "Fanny" Lewenthal was age 33 they became the parents of Cecil Weinberg Schneider January 1916 in Georgetown, SC. When Frances was age 29 and Albert Max Schneider was age 25 they became the parents of Philip Lewenthal Schneider January 1912 in Georgetown, SC. When Frances was age 31 and Albert Max Schneider was age 27 they became the parents of Harold Schneider July 1913 in Georgetown, SC. When Frances was age 33 and Albert Max Schneider was age 29 they became the parents of Cecil Weinberg Schneider January 1916 in Georgetown, SC.

3 ii. Dora Lewenthal was born in Darlington, SC July 16, 1884. Dora died July 18, 1973 in Georgetown, SC, at age 89. She married Harry N. Rosen May 26, 1912. When Harry was age unknown and Dora Lewenthal was age 28 they became the parents of Sylvan Rosen April 1, 1913 in Georgetown, SC. When Harry was age unknown and Dora Lewenthal was age 35 they became the parents of Meyer Rosen November 12, 1919 in Georgetown, SC. (See Harry N. Rosen for the continuation of this line.)

When Dora was age 28 and Harry N. Rosen was age unknown they became the parents of Sylvan Rosen April 1, 1913 in Georgetown, SC. When Dora was age 35 and Harry N. Rosen was age unknown they became the parents of Meyer Rosen November 12, 1919 in Georgetown, SC.

4 iii. Isaac Myer "Link" Lewenthal was born 1885. He married Jenny Sanger date unknown.
