1. Samuel¹ Friedman was born about 1896. Samuel died February 1976 at age 79.

He married twice. He married Ruth Cassel date unknown. Ruth was born November 14, 1907 in Columbia, SC. Ruth was the daughter of Isador Cassel and Essie Epstin. Ruth died July 1987 at age 79. When Ruth was age 19 and Samuel Friedman was age 30 they became the parents of Marilyn Cassel Friedman May 11, 1927 in Columbia, SC. When Ruth was age 22 and Samuel Friedman was age 34 they became the parents of David Ronald Friedman September 3, 1930. He married Frances Turtletaub date unknown.

When Samuel was age 30 and Ruth Cassel was age 19 they became the parents of Marilyn Cassel Friedman May 11, 1927 in Columbia, SC. When Samuel was age 34 and Ruth Cassel was age 22 they became the parents of David Ronald Friedman September 3, 1930.

Samuel Friedman and Ruth Cassel had the following children:

2 i. Marilyn Cassel² Friedman was born in Columbia, SC May 11, 1927. Marilyn died June 27, 1931 in Columbia, SC, at age 4.
