1. Max¹ Marcus was born in Berlin, Germany March 21, 1858. Max died October 27, 1934 in Cleveland, OH, at age 76.

He married Minnie Mark date unknown. Minnie was born May 30, 1866 in Oswego, NY. Minnie was the daughter of Harrison Harris "Henry" Cohen Mark and Rachel Epstin. Minnie died November 7, 1899 in Asheville, NC, at age 33. When Minnie was age 23 and Max Marcus was age 31 they became the parents of Claude B. Marcus October 15, 1889 in Asheville, NC. When Minnie was age 26 and Max Marcus was age 35 they became the parents of Omalie Marcus April 27, 1893 in Asheville, NC.

When Max was age 31 and Minnie Mark was age 23 they became the parents of Claude B. Marcus October 15, 1889 in Asheville, NC. When Max was age 35 and Minnie Mark was age 26 they became the parents of Omalie Marcus April 27, 1893 in Asheville, NC.

Max Marcus and Minnie Mark had the following children:

2 i. Claude B.² Marcus was born in Asheville, NC October 15, 1889. Claude died February 25, 1919 in Jeffersonville, IN, at age 29.

3 ii. Omalie Marcus was born in Asheville, NC April 27, 1893. Omalie died March 6, 1984 in Albuquerque, NM, at age 90. She married three times. She married Nathan "Nano" Fleisher 1912 in Cleveland, OH. Nathan was born about 1890 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH. Nathan died 1958 at age 68. When Nathan was age 23 and Omalie Marcus was age 20 they became the parents of Henry Carl Fleisher August 3, 1913 in Augusta, GA. Nathan was divorced from Omalie Marcus before 1920. (See Nathan "Nano" Fleisher for the continuation of this line.) She married Dave Miller after 1920. Dave was born about 1890. Dave was divorced from Omalie Marcus before 1945. She married Bert Trautman after 1945. Bert was born about 1890. Bert was divorced from Omalie Marcus about 1954.

When Omalie was age 20 and Nathan "Nano" Fleisher was age 23 they became the parents of Henry Carl Fleisher August 3, 1913 in Augusta, GA. Omalie was divorced from Nathan "Nano" Fleisher before 1920. Omalie was divorced from Dave Miller before 1945. Omalie was divorced from Bert Trautman about 1954.
