He married Joyce Maurine Cohn May 18, 1958 in New York, NY. Joyce was born July 27, 1931 in New York, NY. Joyce was the daughter of Theodore Leonard Cohn and Thelma Ray Mark. Joyce died February 25, 1966 in Queretaro, Mexico, at age 34. When Joyce was age 30 and Geoffrey Close was age 33 they became the parents of Daniel Shaw Close September 18, 1961 in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. When Joyce was age 31 and Geoffrey Close was age 35 they became the parents of Jay Robert Close December 12, 1962 in New York, NY.

When Geoffrey was age 33 and Joyce Maurine Cohn was age 30 they became the parents of Daniel Shaw Close September 18, 1961 in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. When Geoffrey was age 35 and Joyce Maurine Cohn was age 31 they became the parents of Jay Robert Close December 12, 1962 in New York, NY.

Geoffrey Close and Joyce Maurine Cohn had the following children:
